Docparser allows you to create custom download links for your parsed data. Download links can be configured to control which documents are included, which parsing fields are exported, and how your data is formatted.
Once you have created a download link, you can also assign it as the default download for your Document Parser.
Create a Download Link
To create a new download link:
- Open the Document Parser you want to create the download for.
- Navigate to Exports >Downloads.
- Click Add Download Link.
- Select the file format you would like to use, such as Excel or CSV.
- Give your download link a name.
- Choose which documents should be included in the download.
For example, you can configure the link to include documents imported during a specific time period or a specific number of your most recently imported documents.
Customize the Data Included in Your Download
By default, your download can include the data returned by your parsing rules. If you only want certain fields included, you can customize the download link.
Open Advanced Configuration and locate the Include Fields setting.
Select Select Fields & Output Format to choose the parsing fields you want included in the downloaded file.
From here, you can select only the fields you need and customize how they appear in your download.
For Excel downloads, additional formatting options are available for controlling how your data is displayed in the spreadsheet.
Changing the Column Order
The order of the columns in your downloaded spreadsheet by default is based on the order of your parsing rules. You can select the checkbox to Customize the column order and drag to rearrange the fields to the desired position.
Save and Test Your Download Link
Once you have finished configuring the download, save the download link.
You can then use the generated link to test your download and confirm that the correct documents, fields, and formatting are included.
If you need to make changes, return to the Downloads section of your parser and edit the download link.
Set the Download Link as the Default Download
If you regularly use the same download configuration, you can assign your customized download link as the default download for the parser.
Once assigned as the default, downloading parsed data from the parser will use the settings from your customized download link rather than requiring you to configure the download each time.
To set your custom download link as the default:
- Open the Downloads section of your Document Parser.
- Locate the download link you created and click the pencil to edit.
- Select the checkbox option at the bottom of the page to assign the link as the parser's Default Download Configuration.
- Save your changes.
Your customized download configuration will now be used as the default when downloading parsed data from this parser.
You can return to the Downloads section at any time to edit the download link, change the default download, or create additional download configurations.
